Greg Waite, CEO of InventionShareTM, announced Circuit SeedTM, a new building block of digital circuits, allows semiconductor companies currently producing analog to convert to digital and reap huge benefits as a formal building block of circuits for the smart home and the Internet of Things.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or ‘things’ embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.

As part of the IoT, smart homes are those equipped with devices and wiring connected to a home network. They can be controlled by voice command, remote control, tablet or smartphone. Most new smart home applications relate to lighting, home security, home theater, entertainment, and thermostat regulation.

A report by RNR published March 2015 said that the global smart homes market was valued at $20.38 billion in 2014 and is expected to reach $58.68 billion by 2020. (Trend and Forecast to 2020 available at

Circuit Seed will allow IoT and smart home companies, including major analog semiconductor companies, to convert analog to digital circuits much faster and provide circuits that are smaller, run cooler and use less power – and which can be imbedded into IoT and smart home products.

“This is just one application for the Circuit Seed family,” said Mr. Waite. “They are just not applicable to smart home devices but every device with electronic circuits and some element of analog. We have an amazing invention family here and Circuit Seed building block circuits will help companies build, literally, thousands of IoT and smart home products that people now want, including almost all every day electronic products.”

InventionShare is currently socializing the Circuit Seed “game changing“ family of circuits with major industry partners, and expanding partnering and licensing opportunities.
